Aquarium Filters & Powerheads for Sale
Filtration and water circulation are the mechanical backbone of any healthy aquarium, and the used equipment market on Light Fish offers hobbyists a cost-effective way to find quality gear. On Light Fish you'll find filters and powerheads listed by hobbyists, including canister filters, sump systems, hang-on-back filters, sponge filters, wet/dry trickle filters, and powerheads and wavemakers for flow and circulation. Many listings include popular brands at a fraction of new retail prices.
When purchasing a used filter, inspect all seals, impellers, and tubing for wear or cracking before use, and run the unit in a bucket of water before installing it on a display tank. Beneficial bacteria present in a used filter's media can help seed the nitrogen cycle in a new aquarium — preserve the media in tank water during transit for best results. Check seller listings carefully for included accessories such as hoses, spray bars, and media.
