African cichlids are among the most colorful and behaviorally interesting freshwater fish available in the hobby. On Light Fish you'll find cichlids from Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Victoria listed by breeders and hobbyists across the United States — including peacocks, haplochromines, mbuna, frontosa, and shell dwellers. Many are captive-bred, making them hardier and more disease-resistant than wild-caught specimens.
