Killifish
Killifish for Sale
Killifish are a diverse group of small freshwater fish prized by specialist hobbyists for their extraordinary color patterns, interesting breeding strategies, and wide variety of species. On Light Fish you'll find killifish listed by dedicated breeders and collectors, including annual killifish (Nothobranchius, Austrolebias) and non-annual species (Fundulopanchax, Aphyosemion, Epiplatys). Many are available as eggs or fry from breeders who maintain rare strains not found in commercial fish stores.
All killifish orders on Light Fish are backed by a platform-wide Live Arrival Guarantee. Fish and eggs are packed appropriately for their form — eggs in moist peat or coco fiber, live fish in breather bags — and shipped in insulated boxes via priority or overnight carrier with weather monitoring. Most killifish are best kept in smaller, species-only tanks or with very peaceful tankmates. Annual species have short lifespans but are among the most brilliantly colored fish in the freshwater hobby.
