Koi
Koi for Sale
Koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus) are ornamental pond fish selectively bred over centuries for their vivid colors and patterns. On Light Fish you'll find domestic koi listed by breeders and hobbyists across the United States, including butterfly koi, standard fin koi, and jumbo varieties in patterns such as kohaku, showa, sanke, and utsuri. Domestic koi are typically hardier and more affordable than imported Japanese varieties.
All koi orders on Light Fish are backed by a platform-wide Live Arrival Guarantee. Fish are packed in breather bags with oxygen and temperature-appropriate packs, shipped in insulated boxes via priority or overnight carrier, and weather-monitored along the route. Koi thrive in well-filtered outdoor ponds of at least 1,000 gallons, though smaller specimens can be quarantined in large indoor tanks. A robust filtration system is essential due to their high bioload.
