Red Texas Cichlids 2nd Gen

The Mother was the offspring between a parrot and Green Texas. Although red isn’t her normal color, she can display deep reds and burgundy’s throughout the day. She definitely takes after the parrot in aggression while maintaining that true Texas spirit we love. I put her up against a Green Texas Male to shake up the gene pool and I have to say, these came out fabulous if the Texas Cichlid is your fish. None of these fish are green in color, yet I did t not get one red or orange. That said, I did get an entire batch of fish that can change colors to light orange or even to a light reddish hue. They are still small around 1” in size. The pearling has been filling in, and giving a nice aggressive appearance.
