Tetras for Sale

Tetras are small, schooling freshwater fish and among the most popular community tank fish in the hobby. On Light Fish you'll find a wide variety of tetra species listed by hobbyists and breeders, including neon tetras, cardinal tetras, ember tetras, black skirt tetras, rummy nose tetras, diamond tetras, and many more. Tetras are known for their vivid colors and schooling behavior, and are ideal for planted community setups.

Fish are packed in breather bags with temperature-appropriate packs, shipped in insulated boxes via priority or overnight carrier, and weather-monitored in transit. Most tetras prefer soft, slightly acidic water (pH 6.0–7.0) and temperatures of 72–80°F. They are best kept in schools of at least six, and many species display their most vivid colors in well-planted tanks with dark substrate.
