Electric Blue Acara - Andinoacara Pulcher - Bred In Captivity

Description

These are 5-month-old Electric Blue Acaras. Currently about 3"-4" in length, with healthy appetites. These fish have a reputation of living up to 8-10 years in captivity, can be semi-aggressive, and they are much less aggressive than most cichlids. They can get up to about 6"-7" in captivity, and it's recommended you have a tank that's 30+ Gallons for a full-grown pair. They prefer temperatures between 72 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit, (a decent number of aquarium heater brands sell devices preset to 78 degrees.) It's recommended to use plants such as anubias, as they don't bite these as much. Other live plants may not be as fortunate. This batch has been fed with a mixture of cichlid pellets, freeze dried foods, and frozen blood worms, and they are more than happy to snack on pest snails if you have them in abundance. Shipments to US only (excluding Alaska, and Hawaii). Shipping companies require overnight shipments for live fish. The fish will be double bagged as per FedEx requirements and have insulation. heating packs can be provided.
