Description

EMERSED GROWN Java Ferns. Plants will be about 3" - 7" tall. These are grown indoors, and may come with bits of aquarium (buffering) substrate attached to the roots. There will be no pest snails nor duckweed in the order. Please carefully rinse the plants thoroughly under cool tap water to remove any concentrated fertilizer or soil that may still be on the leaves. After rinsing, keep the plants sealed in their bags until you are ready to add them in your aquarium. Plants will require anywhere from 1 - 4+ weeks to acclimate to your tank. Java Ferns may lose a few older leaves in this process. Please remove fallen/rotting leaves to avoid an algae outbreak. New leaf growth from the rhizome should be acclimated aquatic growth. Decent light, CO2 injection, good water flow, a matured regularly maintained aquarium, and fertilizer (NPK, Ca, Mg, and traces) should increase the chances and speed at which your plant acclimates successfully. Java Ferns are one of the easiest plants to care for, but poor aquarium conditions/maintenance will increase the chances of slow deterioration over time. Never bury rhizome in substrate.
